November 20-21, 2018. International conference "Transition to university autonomy in Kazakhstan: challenges and prospects"
On November 20-21, 2018, on the basis of the Karaganda State Medical University, the Global International Conference "Transition to University Autonomy in Kazakhstan: Challenges and Prospects" was held. The conference was attended by rector Omirbayev S.M., Director of the Department of strategy, quality and internationalization Pogrebitskaya M.V., senior lecturer of the Department of German-roman Philology Sagitdinova T.K., Deputy Director of the Academic activities department Pobezhuk N.Yu.
At the plenary session, Omirbayev S.M. the report “Institutional autonomy: a starting point and way forward” (report) was presented. Omirbayev S.M. acted as a moderator of the master class 3. Academic autonomy, as well as as a speaker at the training seminar "Academic policy of the university in terms of independence: principles of organization and implementation tools" (presentation). Pogrebitskaya M.V. acted as a speaker at master class 2. Personnel autonomy (presentation).
At the conference, EUA representatives presented a Report on the state of the autonomy of Kazakhstani universities.
